NAFA Virtual CAFS Exam
Friday, December 15, 2023 (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (EST)
Description
The Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) program distinguishes those professionals who have demonstrated a thorough, up-to-date understanding of air filtration technology and high level of professionalism. To become certified, air filtration professionals must pass an extensive examination on the principles, methods and applications of air filtration.
Don't forget to register for the CAFS Q&A on Monday, November 13 at 2:00 PM. Join Hunter Most, CAFS for a 2-hour tutorial and Q&A focused on the individual chapters to the NAFA Guide to Air Filtration (The Guide). Hunter will take questions and engage in a deep dive into the pertinent subject matter focusing on the areas that will be covered during the CAFS exam. The exam will follow the tutorial following a short break.
Successful completion of the exam requires three things:
- study and understand the NAFA Guide to Air Filtration;
- have at least one-year’s field experience, and
- participate in the 2-hour tutorial.
The Exam - The 100 question (70 multiple choice, 30 true/false) CAFS Exam is based on the NAFA Guide to Air Filtration. In fact, every question comes straight out of the book! If you study the manual thoroughly you should have no problem passing the exam. NAFA does offer a series of recordings (provided after registration) to help you study, however, if you have not read and understood the NAFA Guide to Air Filtration, you will probably not pass the exam.
If you have previously taken the exam, but sure to contact NAFA staff to register at a reduced rate: nafa@nafahq.org.
