STATEMENT OF REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. NAFA awards five (5) scholarships of $2,500 each year. Scholarship funds are intended to help cover college-related expenses.
2. Previous NAFA scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply.
3. Applications must be received by September 1 and submitted to NAFA headquarters.
4. Financial need is not a requirement for consideration.
5. The scholarship competition is open to the children or grandchildren of NAFA Active, Associate, Supplemental, and Affiliate members in good standing, as well as the children or grandchildren of employees of NAFA member firms.

Incoming Freshmen

• Minimum ACT score of 22/SAT score of 900.
• Rank in top 35% of your high school graduating class.

Transfer or student in college

• Have minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST:

• Submit a recent photo with the application for use in scholarship announcements and press releases.
• Submit a 1–2 page typed essay that includes a brief biographical sketch and explains why the applicant believes they should receive the scholarship.
• Submit two letters of recommendation, including at least one from a recent teacher. Letters may not be written by family members.
• If school policy requires recommendations to be submitted directly to the scholarship organization, letters may be emailed to nafa@nafahq.org.

The Committee for the NAFA Scholarship will collect and screen all scholarship applications. Recipients will be announced at the NAFA Annual Convention.

NAFA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Instructions:

1. Complete the application form below.
2. Attach a 1–2 page essay that includes a brief biographical sketch, work or academic experience, career goals, and personal interests.
3. Submit two letters of recommendation, including at least one from a recent teacher. Recommendations may not be from family members.
4. Submit the completed application, essay, recent headshot, and two letters of recommendation using the form below.
